Chaucer to Chesterton English Classics from Polish Perspective

This book is a collection of studies and essays in English classic written from Polish perspective. Most of the texts were inspired by the Author’s mediaevalist interests which accounts for the bulk of the topics collected in part 1. All of part 2 deals with William Shakespeare who remains a case in his own right in English as well as in European literature.
