Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad 2022

Department of Cooperation with Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister co-funded the following projects:

  1. Portal Parafie Polskie w USA- inwentaryzacja cyfrowa i upowszechnienie wiedzy na temat polskiego dziedzictwa kulturowego w Stanach Zjednoczonych(Polish Parishes in the USA Portal: A digital inventory and dissemination of knowledge about Polish cultural heritage in the United States)

Agreement: 661/DWPP/22

The project aims to gather source and photographic documentation of Polish cultural heritage in the United States (connected with Polish ethnic parisches). The knowledge accumulated over five years of research is being disseminated on a digital portal, kosciolypolskiewusa.com, created specifically for the project.

  1. Badania potrzeb edukacyjnych stymulujących rozwój szkolnictwa polskiego za granicą (Research on the needs underlying the development of Polish organizations conducting educational activities)

Agreement: 1325/DWPP/22

The project focuses on organizations and associations involved in building networks of Polish Diaspora education and supporting its development. Several dozen organizations and associations from over 20 countries, from Western and Eastern Europe, as well as North and South America, were selected for the study. The research will cover areas related to the educational activities of Polish organizations and associations abroad, including the size of the organizations, their scope, and influence.

  1. Dofinansowanie publikacji rocznika Studia Polonijne (Co-funding the publication of Studia Polonijne)

Agreement: 862/DWPP/22

The project aims to publish a regular volume of Studia Polonijne and a special volume for the 50th anniversary of the KUL’s Institute for the Study of Polish Community and Its Ministry (est. 1972).
